Part 1: CyberFirst – The Government scheme to bring security talent into the industry
In the first of our monthly series, we welcome our special guest, a representative from NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) to share details around their Cyber Security upskilling programme – CyberFirst. A programme of opportunities to help young people explore their passion for tech by introducing them to the fast paced world of cyber security.
The NCSC representative will be joined by Node4’s Security Practice Director, Andy Bates, who has worked with the scheme and been on the CyberFirst industry advisory board in recent years.
Together they will discuss what benefits the CyberFirst programme gives to employers, as well as managing the perceived risk of students working in the environment. They will also discuss why Node4 are one of the supporters of the scheme, and how the scheme encourages young security talent into the industry.
These events run on the 3rd Thursday of the month and each will feature a special guest from the world of cybersecurity.
