Like everything in life, there is never a simple, binary answer. When it comes to Microsoft Dynamics NAV support, the answer is both yes and no.
If you're running Dynamics NAV 2016 or earlier, Microsoft support has ended completely. Both mainstream and extended support have now expired. Dynamics NAV 2017 remains in extended support until January 2027, while Dynamics NAV 2018, the final version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, is supported until January 2028.
What does extended support mean?
Is extended support really support? Not really. In practice, Microsoft's Dynamics NAV extended support only includes security updates and access to self-help resources and knowledge base articles. Once January 2028 arrives, no version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV will receive support from Microsoft.
