As we reflect on 2024, it’s clear that this year has been one of significant growth and achievement. From innovative client projects to rewarding accomplishments, our journey has been marked by milestones that have further strengthened our position in the industry and deepened our commitment to our clients and community. We would like to thank all our clients and partners for being an integral part of our journey and we look forward to continuing this path of growth and innovation together in the coming year.
Together, we’re made for more.
It’s been a year packed with so many good stories, here are just a few of them.
January: West Midlands police case study
We kicked off the year with a great client story featuring West Midlands Police, where we helped them to enable faster evidence processing with the UK’s first cloud-based digital forensics analysis solution.
February: Annual mid-market report and Stephenson’s case study
Our Annual Mid-Market Report provided valuable insights into how rising energy costs, fuel price increases, and inflation were impacting IT budgets.
Additionally, we highlighted our work with our client, Stephenson’s, where we implemented a new Webex omnichannel contact centre solution, enhancing their customer service and operational efficiency.
March: International Women’s Day and User Day 2024.
March was a month of celebration and recognition. We hosted our 4Women event on International Women’s Day, celebrating the achievements of our female colleagues and addressing important topics such as imposter syndrome and balancing motherhood with careers.
We were also excited to welcome so many delegates, sponsors and experts to our User Day. More than 350 delegates joined us for a deep dive into a ‘Day in the Life’, where we demonstrated our favourite functionality within Dynamics 365 Business Central, as well as innovations within Power Platform.
April: Go to market 2024
Kicking off a new financial year, we unveiled our Go to Market 2024 strategy. We laid out our exciting vision for the next 12 months, exploring how innovative technology is set to benefit our clients (yes, Copilot and AI were highlighted a few times), and honoured the accomplishments of our passionate and committed team.
May: Node4’s 20th birthday
After starting life back in April 2004, we celebrated our 20th anniversary. It has been quite a journey and being able to reflect on our growth and achievements over the years alongside all the amazing people and clients who have been part of that journey was a proud moment.
June: Appointment of Chris Woodhouse as chairman
We strengthened our leadership team with the appointment of Chris Woodhouse as Chairman, positioning our business for continued growth and success.
July: ESG Initiatives and our revolutionary investment in Copilot
Our ESG initiatives gained traction in July, with the Mid-Market Report findings showing that UK mid-market organisations see ESG as a driver for economic growth and market leadership.
July also saw our investment of 1,100 new Copilot seats, significantly strengthening our commitment to innovation and excellence. These licenses were implemented to empower our 1,100-strong workforce with the next generation of artificial intelligence. We believe this substantial investment exemplified our forward-thinking approach and our ability to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
August: Core network upgrades and helping find lost dogs!
Our core network is often the foundation of delivering any good, hosted service, so to keep it performing the way it should we agreed a deal with Virgin Media to use their High Capacity 100Gbps optical fibre service to provide the headroom and agility to scale capacity at short notice for our clients.
We also supported drone-based animal search and rescue charity, Drone to Home by bringing our expertise to upgrade their contact centre using Cisco Webex.
September: Jisc and Warwickshire Police case studies
September featured two more great client stories. We collaborated with Jisc to enhance their IT infrastructure and services and provided secure mobile access to key data for the Warwickshire Police Force, improving their operational efficiency.
October: Inner Circle MS and our new look
We were honoured to be recognised as a member of the Microsoft Inner Circle for the fifth consecutive year. Highlighting our strong relationship with Microsoft for which we hold all six Microsoft Solution Designations, ten advanced specialisations, and the Azure Expert MSP status.
This year, we embarked on an exciting re-brand journey that encapsulated our “Made for More” statement. Our new bold colour palette and refreshed visual identity have not only revitalised our brand but also reinforced our commitment to innovation and excellence. This transformation has been instrumental in strengthening our position in the market and setting the stage for even greater achievements in the future.
November: UK IT Awards, SDC Awards, Case Studies and User Days
November was a month of accolades and achievements. Along with our valued clients West Midlands Police and West Midlands Trains, we won several awards at the UK IT Awards and SDC Awards, demonstrating innovative projects and celebrating client achievements.
We shared some client stories on how we are delivering managed services for Motorpoint and helped Ofsted be more creative in how they use SharePoint. We also took to the roads on our User Day Roadshows in Glasgow and Dublin to share the latest Business Central updates!
December: Richard Moseley is appointed as our new CEO as Andy Gilbert becomes President.
It was great to welcome Richard to the team. He is a hugely respected leader and innovator whose experience and drive align with our own growth strategy helping us to continue deliver successful outcomes for our clients.
