New Hall now Open at Derby Data Centre
Data Centre Specialists Node4, have just expanded capacity at their Derby Data Centre by opening a new hall.
DC2 has been sold out for several months so the business was keen to expand their capability at the Derby headquarters. The new hall, which will be called DC1 Hall 2, adds a further 80 racks to the Derby footprint, brining overall capacity to over 300 racks. Combined with the Wakefield data centre DC3 and forthcoming Northampton data centre DC4, Node4 will have the ability to colocate approximately 1500 racks of equipment.
The new hall will benefit from the developments in new and efficient technology with the latest generation power systems and cold aisle containment included in the impressive specification.
Node4's Business Development Director Paul Bryce commented, "Our Derby data centre has been a huge success and with increased demand from both existing and new customers it made sense to expand the capacity. Our team have worked extremely hard to fit out the new hall in a very short timescale without having to compromise on the quality of the facility we wanted to offer."
DC1 Hall 2 officially opened on 15th February and already over 30% of the space has been sold.
